Li Haotong Clinches Qatar Masters Title with Epic Final Birdie 🎉

In a thrilling finale at the DP World Tour Qatar Masters in Doha, Li Haotong of the Chinese mainland secured his victory with a dramatic birdie putt on the 18th hole. 🏌️‍♂️

Li shot an impressive three-under-par 69 in the final round, finishing the week at minus-16. Entering the last 18 holes with a two-shot lead, he started strong with back-to-back birdies, extending his advantage to four shots.

The competition heated up on the back nine as Denmark's Rasmus Neergaard-Petersen caught up, bringing the two golfers neck-and-neck as they approached the final hole. Faced with a challenging bunker approach, Li managed to chip his recovery shot close to the cup.

With nerves of steel, Li sank the decisive birdie putt, lifting him into the winner's circle for the first time since his triumph at the 2022 BMW International Open in Munich. 🏆

“It means a lot. I never thought I could come back in this position,” Li shared. “I'm just very glad I closed out nicely. I'm guaranteed to celebrate this one nicely.”

Rasmus Neergaard-Petersen finished second by one shot, while England's Brandon Robinson Thompson took third place.
