Exciting news from the Chinese mainland space sector! CAS Space has successfully completed the delivery of their latest rocket engine, the Liqing-2.
This powerhouse is a 110-tonne pin engine, featuring advanced pin injection technology in both its gas generator and thrust chamber. As the first-stage engine of the Lijian series rockets, the Liqing-2 boasts a versatile thrust ratio ranging from 50% to 100%, with a ground thrust capacity of up to 110 tonnes.
Approved in the second quarter of 2023, the Liqing-2 engine hit the production line in early 2024. By early 2025, it successfully passed comprehensive liquid flow tests, assembly, and delivery reviews, marking a significant milestone for CAS Space.
The Lijian-1 series has already made waves by launching a total of 57 satellites across five missions, solidifying CAS Space's position in China's booming commercial space industry.
