🎿✨ Snowboarding fans, get ready! China's snowboarding stars Cai Xuetong and Wu Shaotong have just landed themselves spots in the women's final of the FIS Snowboard Halfpipe World Cup at Genting Snow Park in Chongli this Friday.
The competition was fierce with 27 top-notch snowboarders battling it out in a single heat, but only the top eight could advance. And guess what? Both Cai and Wu made the cut! 🙌
At 31, Cai Xuetong showed everyone she's still got it! She nailed her first run with an impressive 87.75 points, securing the third spot. She was just behind 15-year-old Japanese sensation Sara Shimizu, who led the qualifiers with 92.00 points, and the USA's Madeline Schaffrick with 91.00 points.
\"I'm super excited about kicking off this season,\" Cai beamed after her run. \"I really enjoyed myself out there. I'm planning to amp up the difficulty in the final. Next year, I'll be competing in the 2025 Asian Winter Games in Harbin—my hometown! Can't wait!\" 🏂❤️
Wu Shaotong also brought her A-game, clinching the seventh spot with 78.50 points on her second run. \"I was a bit nervous since it's the first competition of the season,\" Wu admitted. \"My second run was better, but there's still room for improvement. I'll give it my all in the final!\" 💪
The excitement isn't over yet—the finals are set for this Sunday. Mark your calendars and cheer on our amazing snowboarders as they take on the halfpipe! 🏆⛰️
