Get ready, snowboarding fans! 🏂 Chinese snowboarding sensation Su Yiming is returning to where he made Olympic history. Starting this Friday, Su will take on the world's best at the Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS) Snowboard and Freeski Big Air World Cup at Shougang Park in Beijing.
Back in February 2022, Su soared to victory, grabbing gold at the Beijing Winter Olympics right here at Shougang Park. Now, he's back on home snow, ready to wow his fans with some next-level tricks.
\"I'm super stoked to challenge those moves with the highest difficulty at Shougang Park,\" Su said with a grin at Thursday's press conference. \"This venue is one of the world's best, and it lets me really show what I've got!\"
But it's not all about the competition for Su. \"No pressure though! Most of the snowboarders are my friends—we push each other to get better. If someone nails an awesome trick, I'm genuinely happy for them and it fires me up to train harder,\" he shared. \"Of course, winning in Beijing would be epic, but I just hope everyone stays safe and crushes it out there.\"
This weekend's event, wrapping up on Sunday, will see over 170 elite athletes from more than 20 countries and regions carve up the snow at Shougang Park. Some are even eyeing spots for the 2026 Milan Cortina Winter Olympics! ❄️🔥
So, whether you're a die-hard snow sports fan or just love a good comeback story, Su Yiming's quest to push his limits is something you won't want to miss! 🌟
