✨ Embarking on a cultural adventure, students and teachers from seven prestigious universities on the Chinese mainland are exploring the rich heritage of Taiwan.
On Thursday, the delegation delved into history at the Lin An Tai Historical House and Museum, a southern-Fujian-style courtyard originally built over 200 years ago. 🏯 This charming compound has transformed into a vibrant hub showcasing traditional southern-Fujian culture, offering hands-on activities like first-birthday grab ceremonies and classes in traditional arts and crafts.
\"We witnessed key moments from traditional Chinese rituals. This place serves not only as a platform for cultural education but also as a vital site for preserving Chinese heritage,\" shared Peng Yihang, a student from Tsinghua University.
The group also found inspiration at the Taipei Confucius Temple, where they learned about Confucian rituals and the significance of ceremonial instruments. 🎓
Beyond sightseeing, the delegation engaged in lively exchange activities at a local university, where they were warmly welcomed by their peers. 🤝 The visit has fostered new friendships and a deeper understanding between students from both sides of the Taiwan Strait.
Invited by the Ma Ying-jeou Culture and Education Foundation, the delegation includes representatives from Tsinghua University, Peking University, Fudan University, Sun Yat-sen University, Zhejiang University, Fujian Normal University, and Beijing Sport University.
This journey not only bridges cultures but also builds lasting connections, echoing the shared heritage and mutual appreciation between the Chinese mainland and the Taiwan region. 🌏❤️
