China Expands Visa-Free Policy: Japan Cheers Enhanced Exchanges

🌏 In a move to boost global connectivity, China announced it will expand its visa-free arrangement to include nine more countries, sparking excitement across Asia!

Starting from November 30, 2024, to December 31, 2025, citizens holding ordinary passports from Bulgaria, Romania, Croatia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, Malta, Estonia, Latvia, and Japan can enjoy visa-free entry into China on a trial basis, according to Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian on Friday.

Not only that, but China is also upping the game by extending the visa-free stay from 15 to 30 days and broadening the scope to include exchange and visit purposes. Talk about a warm welcome! 🎉

Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida welcomed China's initiative, telling reporters, \"For Japan-China relations, it's essential for our people to engage more closely.\" 🇯🇵🤝🇨🇳

Echoing this sentiment, Foreign Minister Yoshimasa Hayashi expressed hope that these measures will deepen exchanges between the two nations. \"We look forward to a new era of connectivity and mutual growth,\" Hayashi said at a press conference.

With business trips from Japan to China on the rise after the pandemic, both governments and the business community are eager to strengthen ties.
