In a heartwarming move to strengthen cross-Strait ties, Wang Jin-pyng, former leader of Taiwan region's legislature, met with Song Tao, the mainland's senior Taiwan affairs official, in Xiamen City, Fujian Province. 🤝

Wang's visit to the Chinese mainland, which runs until Thursday, is all about paying respects to his ancestors and boosting cultural exchanges across the Straits. 🌏✨

During their meeting, Song Tao, head of the Taiwan Work Office of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council, emphasized the commitment to the one-China principle and the desire to advance national reunification and rejuvenation. 🇨🇳

Wang Jin-pyng echoed these sentiments, calling for enhanced cultural exchanges and a shared effort to promote Chinese culture. He highlighted the importance of strengthening national and cultural identity among compatriots and maintaining peace across the Straits. 🕊️

Visiting his ancestral village of Baijiao in Zhangzhou, Fujian Province, Wang expressed his willingness to collaborate with mainland compatriots for sustainable development and to ensure a happy and secure life for all people of the Chinese nation. 🌿❤️
