🚫 China Blasts US Chip Restrictions as ‘Non-Market Practice’

Looks like the tech drama between the US and China just got a new episode! 📺 China's Ministry of Commerce didn't hold back on Thursday when it slammed the US for its latest moves in the chip industry, calling them a \"typical non-market practice.\"

So, what's the tea? ☕ The US reportedly told Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company Ltd. (TSMC) to limit shipments of some advanced chips to the Chinese mainland. And let's just say, China isn't amused.

He Yongqian, the spokesperson for the commerce ministry, spilled at a press conference: \"For some time, the United States has been abusing export control measures, implementing long-arm jurisdiction, and continuously intensifying the suppression and containment of China in the semiconductor sector, which is cutting off the global semiconductor market.\"

Translation? The US is playing hardball, and China thinks it's unfair. 🎲

He added that such moves are a \"serious breach of international economic and trade rules and a gross interference in free trade.\" Ouch! 😬

He also pointed out that semiconductors are all about global teamwork. \"What the US does will seriously damage the interests of all parties and hinder global scientific and technological exchanges and economic and trade cooperation,\" He said.

In other words, this chip spat isn't just about two countries—it's about the whole tech world! 🌐
