Overseas Chinese community leaders recently gathered in southwest China's Chongqing Municipality for the first Belt and Road Conference for Overseas Chinese Cooperation and Development. The event brought together a vibrant mix of innovators and business minds, all aiming to drive global partnerships and progress.
Deals amounting to 43.79 billion yuan (around $6.13 billion) were signed across 66 projects in areas such as green energy, cross-border trade, advanced manufacturing, and the digital economy. These agreements promise sustainable growth and exciting opportunities for the future. 🚀
A major highlight was the launch of the Belt and Road Overseas Chinese Business Network. With founding members from Chinese business organizations in 72 countries and regions, the network is set to integrate global resources and boost cooperation in trade, science, technology, and culture.
Adding inspiration to the mix, 10 exemplary "Overseas Chinese for Belt and Road" cases were shared, showcasing stellar contributions in new energy, manufacturing, and humanitarian aid. Jointly organized by the All-China Federation of Returned Overseas Chinese along with the governments of Chongqing and Sichuan Province, the conference saw over 500 representatives from more than 110 countries and regions coming together under one roof.
This groundbreaking event marks a significant step in fostering global cooperation and business innovation, opening new avenues to connect cultures and ignite progress around the world. 🌏🤝
