According to a recent index released by the World Economic Forum (WEF), China has emerged as a true global leader in clean energy. For the first time, China secured the 12th spot globally and outperformed all emerging markets in its energy transition journey. This milestone reflects the country’s strong commitment to adopting a low-carbon energy structure.

In 2024, China ranked first worldwide for new energy fund investments, channeling nearly $818 billion—accounting for 40% of the global total. With a rapid surge in renewable energy capacity and generation, along with high scores in energy security through diversified supply, improved infrastructure, and robust reserves, China is setting the pace for a sustainable future.
