Fresh Global Ranking Redefines Wholesale Banking Leadership

In a bold move shaking up the traditional world of banking, TAB Global has unveiled its "World's Best Corporate, Investment and Wholesale Banks Ranking 2025." This new global benchmark reveals that today's bank leaders are not solely defined by scale and revenue—they now also shine through resilience, innovative digital strides, and sustainable growth. 🚀

Unveiled at The Asian Banker Summit 2025, the ranking evaluates banks on seven key dimensions: client franchise, digital infrastructure, financial performance with a focus on sustainability, mandate quality and execution, institutional capability, brand perception with international coverage, plus governance and risk management. This multidimensional approach offers a fresh, comprehensive look at how banks adapt in an increasingly demanding market.

Leading the pack, JPMorgan Chase secured the top spot with a composite score of 71.6, bolstered by robust client engagement and consistent performance. Bank of America trailed closely with a 69.6 score, celebrated for its digital innovation and rapid expansion, particularly across the Asia Pacific. Notably, ICBC earned a 68.4 score—demonstrating strong balance sheet management, credit provision, and a growing global presence.

The top 10 is rounded out by financial powerhouses such as Citi, Deutsche Bank, Itaú Unibanco, United Overseas Bank, First Abu Dhabi Bank, China Construction Bank, and Mizuho Bank. Each institution brings unique regional strengths—from Latin American market expertise to impressive international networks—showing that leadership in wholesale banking is as diverse as it is dynamic.

This fresh benchmark is more than a leaderboard; it’s a call for banks worldwide to rethink their strategies and embrace innovation in a rapidly evolving financial landscape. The future of finance is here, and it’s as dynamic and digital as ever!
