Tech Giants Drive AI Talent Revolution in the Chinese Mainland

Across the Chinese mainland, digital transformation is not just a buzzword—it’s a full-on revolution! Leading tech firms like Alibaba, Huawei, and Kuaishou are shaking up traditional recruiting methods by aggressively expanding their AI talent training and hiring programs.

Alibaba recently kicked off its spring recruitment campaign, offering more than 3,000 internship positions in roles ranging from R&D and cybersecurity to advanced AI projects. Meanwhile, Huawei has announced plans to recruit over 10,000 fresh graduates in 2025, with a special focus on large AI models, high-performance computing, and ecosystem development. They are also nurturing more than 5,000 interns through comprehensive training initiatives.

Not to be left behind, Kuaishou is proving that innovation can really get people hired—literally! Through livestream job fairs, the company is breaking down geographical barriers by matching workers with employers in real time. A 2024 report even revealed that Kuaishou's efforts generated a staggering 43.2 million job opportunities and sparked the creation of 174 new digital professions. As Zhang Chenggang, director of the China New Employment Forms Research Center, explains, "Livestream-based recruitment not only breaks through traditional limits but also offers job seekers flexibility and diverse options."

Looking ahead, there are ambitious plans to train 10 million people in digital skills over the next three years, with emerging roles like livestream hosts, AI application engineers, and digital marketers in the spotlight. This dynamic approach is making the digital world more accessible, innovative, and full of new possibilities. 🚀
