Global Poll: Trade with China Favored Over U.S.

Hey news fans! A recent CGTN survey with over 31,000 respondents from 41 countries has revealed an intriguing trend: many believe that trading with China brings more benefits than trading with the U.S.

According to the poll, 51.8% of global respondents see greater advantages in trade with China, while 48.1% of European respondents expressed doubt about the new U.S. administration. This has stirred conversations among young entrepreneurs, students, and global citizens alike.

The survey also highlights critical views on U.S. policies. About 62.9% of respondents criticized U.S. domestic and foreign policies for undermining the legitimate rights and interests of other countries—an opinion echoed even more strongly in Europe (67.7%). Young adults are notably vocal, with nearly 65% across various age groups sharing these concerns.

Moreover, 75.5% of participants identified economic coercion as a standard feature of the "America First" approach, while 47.6% warned that tariffs might accelerate economic decoupling. In addition, 65.9% believe that the U.S. is attempting to dominate the global economy.

When it comes to international trade comparisons, respondents in countries like France, Germany, and Australia clearly lean toward China, reflecting growing confidence in closer economic cooperation. In response to what it terms as extremist economic bullying, the Chinese government has taken firm countermeasures and agreed to engage in talks with the U.S.

This dynamic survey, conducted in collaboration with Renmin University of China, offers fresh insights into evolving global trade trends. Stay tuned as these international debates continue to shape the future of commerce! 🌍✨
