China Launches Major Vocational Training for Domestic Service Workers

In an exciting move to redefine career opportunities, China plans to offer vocational training in domestic services from 2025 through 2027. With an expected 1.5 million trainees every year, this initiative is set to empower both newcomers and seasoned professionals in the sector.

The program, overseen by the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Security along with five other government organs, aims to develop a comprehensive curriculum covering a wide range of skills. This effort is designed to professionalize domestic services, boost high-quality employment, and meet the growing demand from the public.

Currently, more than 30 million domestic service professionals work across over one million enterprises, contributing to a market exceeding 1.1 trillion yuan (around $152.58 billion). Alongside similar measures released in April to improve service quality and boost consumption, this training drive represents a dynamic step forward.

By assessing the specific training needs of jobseekers and current workers, the initiative will tailor programs that can truly make a difference for a vibrant, youth-driven workforce. For young professionals and job enthusiasts, this could be a game-changer in unlocking new career paths. 🚀✨
