Chongqing-Central Asia Freight Train Cuts Transit Time by 30%

Hey, news fans! An exciting development is speeding up trade routes from the Chinese mainland's Chongqing to Central Asia. A freight train, packed with polyester chips, departed Chongqing on Sunday morning and is set for Uzbekistan—a journey covering about 4,700 kilometers in roughly 12 days. 🚂

The train will leave the Chinese mainland via Horgos Port in Xinjiang and pass through Kazakhstan, marking the inaugural run of this new regular route.

According to China Railway Chengdu Group Co., Ltd., two trains will depart each month, ensuring faster customs clearance, timely transportation, and reduced costs. Engineer Xu Meiqiong mentioned that these regular services are set to boost cross-border logistics significantly.

Lin Zheng, the logistics manager at Chongqing Wankai New Materials Technology Co., Ltd., noted that launching this route supports their efforts to expand into the Central Asian market.

This new route is estimated to cut transit time by 30%! With Chongqing rapidly emerging as a major inland hub—having dispatched over 18,000 trains on more than 50 regular routes connecting numerous hub cities across Asia and Europe—the benefits for trade and efficient logistics are clear.

Whether you're a young entrepreneur, a curious traveler, or a logistics enthusiast, this breakthrough paves the way for exciting opportunities in global trade. Stay tuned for more updates on how innovative routes like this are bridging cultures and markets! ✨
