Mainland Slams Taiwan’s DPP for Blocking Top University Collaborations 🎓🚫

Mainland authorities have strongly criticized Taiwan's Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) for halting partnerships between Taiwanese universities and leading mainland science and engineering institutions.

Chen Binhua, spokesperson for the Taiwan Affairs Office of the State Council, stated that the DPP's actions harm Taiwan's universities and reflect a narrow-minded and arrogant stance.

Initially, Taiwan's education authorities blocked exchanges with three mainland universities, including Jinan University. This decision has now expanded to seven additional prestigious institutions, such as Beihang University and Beijing Institute of Technology.

These mainland universities are globally renowned for their significant contributions to industrial development and technological progress, extending beyond military technology.

Chen criticized the DPP for ongoing political interference in cross-Straits educational exchanges, an approach that has garnered widespread disapproval within Taiwan's education sector.

\"We are willing to share the convenience of the mainland's advanced education with students from Taiwan, and the mainland's universities always welcome Taiwan compatriots with academic aspirations,\" Chen emphasized.
