China’s State Council Unveils Plans to Boost Trade & Green Energy Recycling 🚀🌱

In a significant move towards economic growth and environmental sustainability, the Chinese mainland's State Council held an executive meeting on Friday, chaired by Premier Li Qiang. The discussions focused on enhancing trade in services and advancing the recycling system for used new energy vehicle (NEV) power batteries.

📈 Boosting Trade in Services
The meeting highlighted innovative strategies to elevate the trade in services. This includes the introduction of new opening-up measures in key sectors such as telecommunication, education, culture, medical services, and finance. By fully applying a negative list for cross-border trade in services, China aims to create a more favorable environment for both domestic and international service providers.

🌐 Additionally, the Chinese mainland plans to expand multilateral and bilateral cooperation, as well as regional collaboration on trade in services and digital trade. These efforts are geared towards increasing service exports and fostering deeper economic ties globally.

🔋 Advancing Green Energy Recycling
On the environmental front, the State Council approved an action plan to enhance the recycling system for NEV power batteries. The plan emphasizes building a normative, safe, and effective system that ensures batteries can be traced throughout their entire lifecycle, from production to utilization.

The initiative also focuses on improving administrative regulations and accelerating the development of standards for green design and carbon footprint accounting of batteries. These measures aim to support the high-quality development of services consumption by increasing the supply of quality services through comprehensive fiscal, tax, and financial policies.

🤝 Lastly, the meeting underscored the importance of handling suggestions and proposals from lawmakers and political advisors with utmost quality, seeking broader public support for the country's ongoing high-quality development.
