China Seeks EU Partnership to Resolve Electric Vehicle Trade Issues 🚗🤝

China is reaching out to the European Union (EU) to find a middle ground on the ongoing anti-subsidy case targeting Chinese electric vehicles. He Yadong, spokesperson for the Ministry of Commerce, emphasized the importance of collaboration and understanding between the two economic powerhouses during a press conference on Thursday.

The dispute has sparked concerns across various sectors in both China and Europe. In a recent video call, Ola Kallenius, president of the European Automobile Manufacturers' Association and chairman of Mercedes-Benz Group AG's board, highlighted the European automotive industry's desire for a quick and amicable resolution through open dialogue.

He Yadong assured that China has been proactive in promoting discussions and hopes the EU will consider the perspectives of the industry stakeholders. \"Both sides should embrace pragmatism and balance, address each other's valid concerns, and work together towards productive negotiations,\" he stated.

The China-EU relationship is a cornerstone of global trade, characterized by complementary and mutually beneficial cooperation. This year marks the 50th anniversary of their diplomatic ties, underscoring a long history of economic partnership.

Looking ahead, China is eager to expand collaboration in green industries, particularly the electric vehicle sector, and aims to tackle trade frictions through continued dialogue and consultation with the EU.
