A recent symposium on private enterprises in Beijing brought together industry leaders from the new energy and automotive sectors to discuss growth strategies and global expansion. 🚀
According to the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM), China's auto industry had a robust start to 2025. In January, passenger vehicle production reached 2.15 million units, while sales totaled 2.13 million units, marking a year-on-year increase of 3.3% and 0.8%, respectively.
The spotlight, however, is on New Energy Vehicles (NEVs). NEV production hit 1.015 million units, and sales soared to 944,000 units, both up approximately 29% year-on-year. NEVs made up 38.9% of all new vehicle sales in January, highlighting the growing shift towards sustainable transportation. 🌱⚡️
Exports also showed positive trends, with a total of 470,000 vehicles shipped overseas, a 6.1% increase from last year. NEV exports were particularly impressive, reaching 150,000 units, a staggering 49.6% increase year-on-year. This surge underscores China's commitment to leading the global electric vehicle market. 🌏
