Chinese Premier Li Qiang Aims to Boost Cooperation with Asian Development Bank 🌐

Chinese Premier Li Qiang is shooting for the stars 🚀 as he seeks to ramp up cooperation with the Asian Development Bank (ADB). In a meeting on Wednesday with ADB President Masatsugu Asakawa in Kunming, Yunnan Province, Li emphasized the importance of both parties focusing on development and exploring new frontiers together.

Li highlighted that China, as the world's largest developing country, is eager to strengthen financial ties with the ADB in areas like environmental protection, green and low-carbon development, and healthcare for the aging population. He also suggested diving into knowledge exchange on emerging industries, fiscal reforms, and strategies to tackle an aging society.

\"Let's share our experiences in poverty reduction, the digital economy, and green development with other developing nations through the ADB platform,\" Li proposed, underscoring China's commitment to the Greater Mekong Subregion's prosperity.

Li assured that China's economy is cruising steadily this year and is all set to continue its high-level opening-up. 🌏

President Asakawa was all praises, noting that China's steady growth is a big deal for both the Asia-Pacific region and the world. He expressed the ADB's enthusiasm to forge a stronger, more comprehensive partnership with China, supporting its high-quality development.

Asakawa emphasized the ADB's willingness to collaborate on green initiatives, climate action, biodiversity protection, energy transitions, and innovation. He also committed to driving tangible results in the Greater Mekong Subregion Economic Cooperation Program and joining China in championing free trade and opposing protectionism. 🤝
