Global Supply Chain Expo in Beijing Welcomes Record Overseas Exhibitors 🌐

Get ready, world! 🌍 The second China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE) is set to rock Beijing from November 26 to 30. Announced by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) on Monday, this year's expo promises to be bigger and better than ever!

With the theme \"Connecting the World for a Shared Future,\" the CISCE is all about boosting international cooperation in industrial and supply chains. Think of it as the ultimate meetup for connecting the dots between industries, cultures, and innovations.

This year, the expo is leveling up with a whopping 120,000 square meters of exhibition space—20% more than last year's 100,000 square meters! 🚀 Over 600 companies from China and abroad are gearing up to showcase their latest and greatest, marking a 20% increase in exhibitors. And guess what? Overseas exhibitors make up 32% of the participants, with American companies leading the pack, and European and Japanese enterprises not far behind. 🌐

Attendees from more than 100 countries and regions are expected, so it's going to be a truly global gathering. Whether you're into upstream, midstream, or downstream sectors, there's something for everyone. Plus, there will be tons of cool activities like promotional events, seminars, and opportunities to exchange ideas and unveil new achievements. 💡

On November 26, the opening ceremony will unveil a Beijing initiative for stable and smooth global industrial and supply chains. It's all about collaboration and building a future where everyone thrives together. 🤝

Breaking Down Barriers for Fair Trade 🛠️

CCPIT Vice Chairman Zhang Shaogang addressed recent restrictive measures imposed by the U.S. and the European Union regarding China. He emphasized that such unilateral actions violate World Trade Organization (WTO) rules and harm global industrial and supply chain cooperation.

\"On behalf of the Chinese business community, the CCPIT and the China Chamber of International Commerce express firm opposition,\" Zhang stated. He urged the U.S. and Europe to respect market economy laws and fair competition principles, calling for an immediate stop to these practices. Instead, he advocates for resolving disputes through consultation and dialogue to achieve mutual benefits and promote global economic development. 🌎

Zhang highlighted that this sentiment is echoed by the global business community. During the recent third meeting of the APEC Business Advisory Council for 2024, representatives from the Chinese and U.S. business communities promoted a joint proposal related to Asia-Pacific supply chain cooperation principles, advocating for open collaboration, non-discrimination, and compliance with WTO rules.

In a recent survey conducted by the CCPIT involving over 400 key foreign-invested enterprises, a majority expressed appreciation for China's supportive foreign investment policies. Over 64% felt that policies introduced by China's central government have been helpful, and 66% felt the same about local government policies. Confidence in China's commitment to a high level of opening-up remains strong. 💪

\"This indicates that foreign investment remains optimistic about the Chinese market, reaffirming China's status as a preferred partner for supply chain cooperation in global resource allocation,\" Zhang commented.

So, mark your calendars and get ready to connect with the world at the CISCE! It's not just an expo; it's a movement towards a more connected and collaborative future. Don't miss out! 🗓️✨
