🌟 Nature just dropped a new surprise! Scientists in southwest China's Guizhou Province have uncovered a dazzling new species of impatiens and named it Impatiens beipanjiangensis. 🌼
This vibrant yellow flower was first spotted in the Beipanjiang River Basin in Panzhou City during a field survey back in October 2019. Xu Jian, a researcher from the Guizhou Botanical Garden, was part of the adventurous team that made the discovery. 🕵️♂️
Their findings were recently shared in the journal PhytoKeys, adding a fresh chapter to the botanical world. How cool is that? 😎
The new species is named after the Beipanjiang River Basin, paying homage to the place where it all began. It's amazing to see how many hidden gems nature still holds for us to find! 🌿🌏
