Zhang Yufei Grabs 4th Gold at China’s National Swimming Championships! 🏊‍♀️🥇

🏅 Olympic champion Zhang Yufei is on fire! 🔥

On Friday, Zhang Yufei clinched her fourth gold medal at China's National Swimming Championships in Shenzhen, Guangdong Province. The penultimate day of the championships saw Zhang shine yet again, adding to her growing list of achievements. 🌟

Competing as part of the combined Team Shanghai-Jiangsu-Zhejiang-Jiangxi-Shandong, Zhang teamed up with swimming stars Xu Jiayu, Qin Haiyang, and Yang Junxun in the mixed 4x100m medley relay. These athletes are no strangers to the podium, each a force in their own right as Olympic or World champions. Together, they clocked a winning time of 3:41.82. 🏊‍♂️🏊‍♀️

Flashback to the Tokyo Olympics three years ago, where the Chinese quartet of Zhang, Xu, Yang, and Yan Zibei finished as runners-up with a time of 3:38.86. This time, with Qin Haiyang stepping in for Yan, the team showed they’re gearing up for greatness. 🚀

Qin Haiyang, who has emerged as a dominant force in breaststroke, won the men's overall title in last year's World Cup series. His addition to the relay team underscores China's depth in swimming talent. 💪

The excitement didn't stop there! On Friday, Wang Changhao snagged gold in the men's 100m butterfly with a time of 51.20 seconds. In the women's events, Li Bingjie triumphed in the 800m freestyle, clocking in at 8:25.43, and Yu Yiting took the top spot in the 200m medley with 2:09.73. 🎉

The National Swimming Championships double as a qualifying tournament for Paris 2024, wrapping up on Saturday. The nine-day schedule was designed to mirror the actual Olympic timetable, giving Chinese swimmers the chance to warm up and make their final bid for Olympic berths. 🇨🇳🏅

Stay tuned as we watch these amazing athletes ride the wave to Paris! 🌊🇫🇷
