Israel Says It Killed 2 Senior Hamas Militants as Gaza Reports 14 Deaths

🔴 This week, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said it struck and killed two senior Hamas members in airstrikes that targeted key militants in Gaza.

According to the IDF, these strikes removed Kamal Abd al-Rahman Muhammad Awad, head of Hamas' anti-tank missile unit, and Ahmad Thabet, a leading figure in the group's weapons manufacturing department.

💥 The military carried out the operations after a rocket launch from Gaza failed to hit its intended target near Israeli troops. The IDF also hit a command-and-control compound in northern Gaza that it said was used to store weapons and plan attacks, killing four militants.

In response, WAFA, the official Palestinian news agency, confirmed Awad's death but described him as a civilian. Hamas spokesman Hazem Qassem condemned the strikes, saying they "confirm the Israeli occupation's renunciation of its commitment to the ceasefire."

🩸 Gaza health authorities reported that 14 Palestinians, including five children, were killed and 17 wounded in Israeli attacks over the past 24 hours. Some victims remain trapped under rubble, highlighting the challenges faced by rescue teams.

Since the ceasefire that took effect on October 10, 2025, Gaza's death toll has reached 439, with 1,223 injuries and 688 bodies recovered. In the broader conflict — which began in October 2023 — at least 71,409 Palestinians have been killed and 171,304 wounded.

🤝 As the fragile pause continues, focus is now on meeting urgent humanitarian needs and exploring diplomatic paths to break the cycle of violence.
