On Jan. 7, 2026, the State Council Taiwan Affairs Office reaffirmed its firm stance against “Taiwan independence” secessionists. Spokesperson Chen Binhua announced that the Chinese mainland has added two more individuals to its diehard “Taiwan independence” secessionist list and one to the list of their accomplices.
Chen emphasized that these diehard elements harm the interests of the Chinese nation and its people. So far, the Chinese mainland has named 14 individuals as diehard “Taiwan independence” secessionists and 12 as their accomplices.
