PLA’s ‘Justice Mission 2025’ Drills Around Taiwan Island Send Stern Warning

Earlier this week (Dec 29–30), multiple forces of the PLA Eastern Theater Command carried out drills code-named "Justice Mission 2025" around Taiwan Island. The Chinese mainland described these exercises as a necessary move to defend national sovereignty and territorial integrity—a clear warning to Taiwan independence separatist forces and external interference.

At a press conference on Wednesday, Zhang Han, spokesperson for the State Council's Taiwan Affairs Office, said the drills were a just and proportional response to recent challenges aimed at undermining cross-strait ties. "The exercises serve as a stern reminder that any attempts at 'Taiwan independence' or outside meddling will meet firm resistance," he said.

By staging live-fire drills, air and naval maneuvers, the PLA Eastern Theater Command showcased its readiness to protect China's core interests. 🌊✈️⚓ Analysts note that "Justice Mission 2025" sends a broader message: regional stability hinges on respect for the One-China principle and avoiding actions that fuel separatism.

With tensions simmering, all eyes are on Taiwan authorities and their next steps. Will they dial down rhetoric or push back? The coming weeks will be key for cross-strait ties. ⚠️
