On Thursday, December 25, 2025, Guinness World Records officially certified the Chinese mainland's Olympic gold medalist Su Yiming for the "most 1980-degree spins completed in a single coherent run in snowboarding." 🚀
The move, known as a "back-to-back 1980," features two consecutive 1,980-degree rotations—each packing 5½ spins—landed during a training session at the Stamping Grounds Project in Saas-Fee, Switzerland, on October 7.
This marks Su's second Guinness World Record. His first came after landing the backslide 1980 Indy Crail trick at the Prime Park Sessions in Stubai, Austria, on October 28, 2021.
At just 21 years old, Su kicked off the season with back-to-back World Cup victories at the Genting Resort Secret Garden in Zhangjiakou, Hebei Province, and the Shougang Big Air Jump in Beijing. With both titles in his pocket, he's in prime form as he builds toward defending his title at the 2026 Milano Cortina Winter Olympics. 🏂❄️
