🌫️ Heads up! On Wednesday, the Chinese mainland’s national observatory issued a yellow alert for heavy fog sweeping over key regions from Wednesday evening through Thursday morning. If you’re in Beijing, Hebei or Tianjin, get ready for seriously misty mornings.
According to the National Meteorological Center, thick fog will blanket areas across Hebei, Beijing, Tianjin, Henan, Anhui, Jiangsu, Hubei, the Sichuan Basin and Chongqing. In some spots, especially in parts of Hebei, Henan and the Sichuan Basin, visibility could drop below 200 meters—almost like driving through a low-budget horror film! 😬
Drivers are advised to slow down, keep safe distances, and switch on low-beam headlights. Airports, highways and ports are gearing up with extra safety checks, so expect possible delays if you’re flying or on the move early tomorrow.
Fog warnings come in three colors: red, orange and our currently active yellow, which means be cautious. Whether you’re commuting to school, business meetings or planning a trip, add extra travel time and keep an eye on real-time updates.
Stay safe, plan ahead, and don’t let the fog catch you by surprise! ✈️🚗
