Beijing’s Li Bin Claims Two Golds at National Para Games

Yesterday in Guangzhou, Beijing veteran Li Bin made headlines by clinching two gold medals at the Chinese mainland’s 12th National Games for Persons with Disabilities and 9th National Special Olympic Games. His standout performances lit up the track and field events, proving that age is just a number! 🥇💫

At 36, Li was the first to compete in the men’s long jump hearing-impaired category. After Fujian’s Chen Wenjun set an early lead with 6.82 meters, Li soared to 6.95 meters in the fifth round—shaking up the leaderboard and securing the gold with style.

Li didn’t stop there. Teaming up with fellow hearing-impaired athletes in the men’s 4×100-meter relay, he powered Beijing to another top finish in 42.29 seconds, adding a second gold to his collection.

“I am very happy to win the gold medals,” Li told reporters. “This is my fourth time competing at the National Paralympics and I am already 36 years old. I feel so emotional as I took home the gold in long jump, adding this title to my previous one. I can’t wait to show these two gold medals to my kids and family. I know they will be proud of me. Thank you.” 🏆❤️

Li Bin’s double victory is a celebration of perseverance and passion—an inspiring moment for young athletes across the region. Keep your eyes on this track star as he continues to defy limits! 🚀
