Imagine almost 40 countries from around the world coming together to tackle big challenges like climate change, economic inequality and peacekeeping 🌍🤝. That’s exactly what happened on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, at the United Nations headquarters in New York.

The newly formed Group of Friends of Global Governance held its inaugural meeting, chaired by Fu Cong, China’s permanent representative to the United Nations. Under the guidance of the Global Governance Initiative (GGI), this group aims to strengthen multilateral cooperation and ensure a fairer future for everyone.

“It is our hope to join hands with all partners to deepen exchanges and cooperation on major global governance issues, pool our collective strength, uphold the banner of multilateralism, and work together for a future of fairness,” Fu said at the meeting.

With multilateralism at its heart, the group plans to host regular dialogues, workshops and joint projects. Young leaders and experts are already buzzing about the chance to share ideas, build networks and shape policies that touch lives across borders.

Whether you’re a student, an entrepreneur or just curious about how decisions at the UN affect our daily lives, this initiative could open doors to new opportunities and inspire fresh solutions. Stay tuned for updates as this global squad redefines cooperation in 2025 and beyond! 🚀
