Remembering the Past with New Discoveries
On Friday, the Memorial Hall of the Victims in Nanjing Massacre by Japanese Invaders received a donation of rare historical materials. These items—including letters, photographs, and wartime diaries—provide fresh witness accounts of daily life during the 1937 massacre 😢📜.
“We hope these documents will deepen public understanding of the massacre,” said Li Mei, curator of the memorial hall.
This year marks the 88th anniversary of those tragic events on December 13, and these new materials help ensure that stories of resilience and loss are never forgotten 🕊️.
By preserving and sharing these artifacts, the memorial hall continues its mission to educate future generations, bridging cultures and reminding us why remembering history matters.
