China’s Top Advisor Wang Huning Visits Indonesia to Boost Strategic Ties 🌏🤝

In a two-day visit from December 3 to 4, 2025, Wang Huning, chairman of the National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference, arrived in Jakarta to strengthen the strategic partnership between China and Indonesia. 🌏🤝

On December 3, Wang met with Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto. They agreed to turn last year’s summit consensus into concrete projects, pursue modernization paths tailored to each country, and work together for greater global peace, stability and prosperity. Wang also reiterated China’s support for Indonesia’s political and social stability and praised the nation’s development vision.

President Prabowo said Indonesia admires China’s rapid growth and plans to draw lessons from its experience while pursuing an independent development path. He reaffirmed Indonesia’s support for the one-China principle, stating that the island of Taiwan is part of China, and expressed confidence in elevating bilateral ties to an even higher level.

Wang also met with Puan Maharani, Speaker of the House of Representatives, and Sultan Bachtiar Najamudin, Speaker of the Regional Representative Council. They highlighted the deep historical friendship between the two countries and noted how recent cooperation has delivered tangible benefits to both peoples.

In talks with Ahmad Muzani, chairman of the People’s Consultative Assembly (MPR), Wang reviewed 75 years of diplomatic ties and briefed on outcomes of the fourth plenary session of the 20th Communist Party of China Central Committee. Both sides pledged to align China’s modernization with Indonesia’s Golden Indonesia 2045 Vision, deepen Belt and Road cooperation, and build a China-Indonesia community with a shared future.

This official visit signals fresh opportunities across politics, economics and culture. Young entrepreneurs and investors can look forward to new projects, while students and researchers gain a front-row seat to evolving Asia-Pacific dynamics. And for travelers, stronger ties could mean smoother exchange and richer cultural experiences. 🚀
