🚢 Today (Monday, December 1, 2025), four of CMG's high-tech broadcast vehicles from the dubbed 'China Red' 4K/8K fleet set sail from the Port of Taicang in east China's Jiangsu Province. Loaded onto the large photovoltaic and liquefied natural gas dual-fuel car carrier Yuan Hai Kou, these mobile studios are bound for Milan ahead of the 2026 Milano Cortina Winter Olympics.
The Yuan Hai Kou measures nearly 200 meters long, spans 12 vehicle decks, and weighs over 68,000 tons. Thanks to its green energy setup, it combines solar power with LNG to cut emissions on the roughly 25-day voyage through the Mediterranean Sea Lane. 🌊🔋
Once they dock in Italy in late December, the two 4K/8K broadcast trucks and two support vehicles will head to San Siro Stadium in Milan. There, on January 13, 2026, they'll be primed to capture every moment of the Opening Ceremony, producing ultra-HD international signals for viewers around the world. 📡📺
With the Winter Games set for February 6-22, these vehicles will cover snowboarding, skiing, hockey and more in breathtaking clarity. For tech enthusiasts and winter sports fans, it's a sneak peek at how innovation meets the thrill of competition! ❄️🎿🏒
