White House Shooting: Suspect Charged, Trump Proposes Immigration Freeze

🚨 A shocking event near the White House has rocked Washington, D.C. On Wednesday, November 26, 2025, 29-year-old Rahmanullah Lakanwal was charged with first-degree murder after allegedly shooting two National Guard members during their patrol.

U.S. Attorney Jeanine Pirro announced on Friday, November 28, that Lakanwal would face first-degree murder charges and additional counts for the ambush. She called the attack “unmistakably premeditated.”

The victims are Guardsman Sarah Beckstrom, 20, who sadly died on Thanksgiving Day, and Andrew Wolfe, 24, who remains in critical condition.

During a Thanksgiving Day call on Thursday, November 27, President Donald Trump described the shootings as a “terrorist attack” and confirmed federal agencies are treating it as such.

💬 Late Thursday night, Trump took to Truth Social to promise a “permanently pause migration from all Third World Countries” until the U.S. immigration system recovers. He also vowed to review and potentially remove millions of entries approved under the Biden administration.

Since returning to the White House in January 2025, Trump has ramped up arrests of undocumented immigrants, tightened border enforcement, and rolled back many of Biden’s policies.

The Department of Homeland Security says the pause would affect citizens of the 19 countries listed in a June 2025 travel ban—Afghanistan among them—and that asylum and green card approvals are under review.

🔍 As Lakanwal’s trial date approaches and immigration policies face new scrutiny, many questions remain. How will these moves reshape U.S. border policy and national security? We’ll keep you updated. ✈️🌎
