China and Malaysia Safeguard WWII Victory, Boost Belt and Road Ties

Yesterday, Chinese top diplomat Wang Yi met with Raja Dato' Nushirwan bin Zainal Abidin, director-general of Malaysia’s National Security Council, in Beijing. The two leaders emphasized the importance of safeguarding the fruits of the WWII victory and vowed not to let anyone turn back the wheel of history 🌍.

This face-to-face meeting came as part of the second China-Malaysia Bilateral Dialogue on the Management of Maritime Issues. Wang Yi, a member of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China Central Committee and head of the Office of the Central Commission for Foreign Affairs, said both sides are ready to implement the vital consensus reached by their leaders 🤝.

They plan to enhance strategic alignment and deepen political and security cooperation. On the economic front, Wang highlighted the upcoming 15th Five-Year Plan of the Chinese mainland and Malaysia’s 13th Malaysia Plan, aiming to synchronize their roadmaps for mutual growth 🚀.

Key Belt and Road projects like the East Coast Rail Link (ECRL) and the "Two Countries, Twin Parks" initiative will move forward with fresh momentum 🚆🏭.
