Yesterday (Friday, Nov 14), Russia launched a massive drone and missile attack on Ukraine, sending 430 drones and 18 missiles across the sky. It was one of the biggest barrages Kyiv has seen so far. 🌩️
Despite Ukraine’s defenses knocking down most of the incoming weapons, falling debris and fires damaged high-rise apartments, a school and a medical center across nine districts in Kyiv. Six people lost their lives, and 34 were injured 6 including two children. Partial power cuts rolled through the Kyiv region, Odesa and Donetsk. ⚡️
On the Black Sea coast, Chornomorsk was also hit. Debris from drones struck a busy market, killing two residents and injuring ten more. The city’s energy sites took a hit, adding to the growing crisis. 💔
President Volodymyr Zelenskyy condemned the strikes, saying "only pressure 6 with sanctions and strength 6 can force Russia to end this war." Ukraine answered back with long-range strikes deep inside Russia, aiming at oil refineries and pipelines. Those hits even forced the Novorossiysk port to halt exports. 🚀
Timur Tkachenko, head of Kyiv’s military administration, highlighted the human cost: "At least 34 injured across the city 6 it’s a stark reminder of the war’s toll."
As both sides ramp up attacks, the conflict keeps spiraling. For young news lovers, entrepreneurs and globe-trotters watching from afar, these events show the urgent need for solidarity and informed action. Stay connected, stay hopeful. ✊💙💛
