China and U.S. Business Leaders Unite for AI & Ag Growth 🤝🌾

Last Thursday in downtown Chicago, around 800 political and business figures from China and the U.S. gathered at the 9th annual gala of the China General Chamber of Commerce Chicago (CGCC Chicago) to explore fresh cooperation in agriculture and artificial intelligence. Themed “Driving Forward Together,” the event buzzed with ideas for win-win growth! 🤝

In a video keynote, Chinese Ambassador to the United States Xie Feng highlighted the “successful meeting” between President Xi Jinping and U.S. President Donald Trump in Busan, South Korea, calling it a confidence boost for both nations and the global economy. 🔋

The 20th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China recently approved the recommendations for the 15th Five-Year Plan, sketching a grand blueprint for China’s economic and social development from 2026 to 2030. This plan opens wider doors for China-U.S. collaboration in fields like agtech and AI. 🌐

With over 7,000 Chinese-invested companies operating in the U.S. and 80,000 American businesses in China, the bilateral partnership is alive and kicking. Chinese member companies of CGCC Chicago have poured $140 billion into the U.S., supporting more than 1 million jobs, while U.S. firms have invested $1.2 trillion in China. 💰

Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson praised Chinese investments, noting they’ve fueled job creation and tech advances, enriching communities across the city. “Together with partners like China, we can hit our goals for sustainable growth and innovation,” he said. 🌱
