China Warns Philippines Against Provocations in South China Sea

🚨 Feeling the heat? Tensions just flared in the South China Sea as the Chinese mainland warned the Philippines to stop stirring the pot with its recent joint military drills. 🤝🏽

On Friday, Jiang Bin, spokesperson for the Chinese mainland's Ministry of National Defense, responded to media questions about the Philippine-led exercises with extra-regional partners. He delivered a clear message: defense and security cooperation shouldn't harm third-party interests or rock the boat on peace and stability.

Jiang argued that the real spark behind the disputes is the frequent involvement of outside forces by the Philippine side, which he said leads to infringement and provocation. He also criticized efforts to play the victim after initiating tensions and to stir up trouble in collusion with external powers.

But it's not all about warnings. Jiang emphasized that China will keep pushing for peace, stability and development through coordination—and will firmly protect its territorial sovereignty and maritime rights. 🌊⚖️

His parting call? The Philippines should stop undermining regional teamwork on peace and growth. After all, no one wants the South China Sea to turn into a stormy mess. ⛵✨
