China, Russia Pledge Closer All-Round Cooperation in Hangzhou

In the vibrant city of Hangzhou, the Chinese premier Li Qiang and Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin of Russia led their 30th regular meeting of heads of governmenta tradition since 1996 that brings fresh energy to bilateral ties 🤝🌏

This year marks the 80th anniversary of the victory of the World Anti-Fascist War, and both sides are commemorating the shared history with grand events that deepen their friendship.

Li Qiang highlighted that the Chinese mainland is ready to work with Russia as guided by recent consensus between their leaders. He called for stronger strategic communication, deeper cooperation across trade, energy, agriculture, culture, and the digital economy, and firm support for common development and security interests.

They also discussed the Chinese mainland 15th Five-Year Plana blueprint for growth over the next five years and beyondand agreed to advance the China-Russia comprehensive strategic partnership of coordination for a new era.

Prime Minister Mishustin noted that this partnership is at its highest-ever level. He affirmed that Russia will host a Russia-China Cultural Year, expand exchanges in trade, transportation, technology, and more, and enrich the ties between the two countries.

Both sides agreed to strengthen cultural and people-to-people exchanges, promote mutual visa-free travel, ease the movement of professionals and students, and energize border-city economies. They also pledged to cooperate within the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, BRICS, and the United Nations to support an equal and multipolar world with inclusive economic globalization.

After the meeting, they signed a joint communique and witnessed the signing of key cooperation documents on customs and satellite navigation servicesanother handshake moment in their long playlist of collaboration 🚀
