Ready for liftoff, space fans? The Chinese mainland is racing to put humans back on the moon by 2030. The China Manned Space Agency (CMSA) just unveiled an action-packed roadmap of tests and prototypes for its crewed lunar program that will make your heart skip a beat! 😮🚀
What is on the calendar? Integrated trials for the Lanyue lunar lander, high-stakes thermal and max dynamic pressure escape tests for the Mengzhou manned spacecraft, plus low-altitude and tech checks for the mighty Long March-10 rocket. It is like the ultimate space Olympics!
CMSA spokesperson Zhang Jingbo also revealed that the Mengzhou-1 mission will join the public logo contest alongside missions to the space station, showing how versatile this ship is – it can dock in low-Earth orbit and then blaze a trail to the moon.
Prototypes of key gear are already done. This includes the Long March-10 rocket, the Mengzhou spacecraft, the Lanyue lander, the Wangyu lunar suit, and the Tansuo rover. Payloads are locked and loaded, and ground bases – from the launch pad to the tracking network – are on the fast track.
This year alone, the team aced the second-stage engine test and captive firing for Long March-10, zero-altitude escape for Mengzhou, and full landing-takeup drills for Lanyue. Yet, with new tech still up for validation, the road ahead is packed and the team is revving up to meet sky-high standards in record time.
Dreaming of moon dust footprints? Stay tuned! The Chinese mainland is set to land its astronauts on the lunar surface, and every test brings humanity one giant leap closer to a new era of exploration. 🌕✨
