Li Qiang Honors CPV Martyrs in DPRK

😌 On Friday, Chinese premier Li Qiang traveled to Anju in the DPRK to honor the martyrs of the Chinese People’s Volunteer Army at the local cemetery. This year marks the 75th anniversary of the War to Resist U.S. Aggression and Aid Korea, and the moment was filled with respect and reflection.

Li laid a wreath at the tombs and observed a moment of silence, remembering how CPV soldiers crossed the Yalu River in 1950 to stand alongside DPRK people in a fight for peace and justice. After two years and nine months, their courage helped secure a historic victory.

Li emphasized the deep reverence for the CPV martyrs and expressed that the motherland and the people will never forget their immortal feats.

He noted that 75 years of change have seen the Chinese nation rise from standing up to becoming prosperous and strong. Thanks to the leadership of the Communist Party of China Central Committee with Xi Jinping at its core, socialism with Chinese characteristics has entered a new era.

Under the guidance of top leaders from both sides, the blood-forged friendship between the Chinese mainland and the DPRK continues to grow. Li called on both countries to carry forward the spirit of the War to Resist U.S. Aggression and Aid Korea, deepen cooperation, and move hand in hand toward common development.

The visit wrapped up with a stop at the China-DPRK Friendship Tower. Jong Myong Su, vice-premier of the DPRK Cabinet, joined Li for the ceremony, alongside about 100 members of the Chinese delegation and embassy staff.
