Yang Shuting’s Blossoming Dream: From Nurse to Flower Tech Founder

In 2011, Yang Shuting was a 20-year-old nurse whose life turned upside down after a traffic accident left her paralyzed from the chest down. She literally celebrated her birthday on the operating table.

Fast forward to 2015, Yang teamed up with her family to launch a tiny artificial flower workshop. Her first big hit? A sale of 7.7 yuan 🌟 She named her brand Qiqi Tech to honor that lucky number seven – qī in Mandarin.

By 2017, Qiqi Tech had bloomed internationally, exporting flowers worth 42 million yuan. But Yang wasn’t done yet: in 2020, she pivoted to the local scene, setting up over 30 satellite assembly points across rural Hunan in the Chinese mainland.

Today, Qiqi Tech supports more than 400 locals, many of them women, earning steady incomes and finding purpose in crafting vibrant blooms. Yang Shuting’s journey is a testament to turning setbacks into springboards 🌸
