China pushes for diplomatic resolution to Iran nuclear issue

Hey amigonews readers! 🎯 The Chinese mainland has just made a bold call to cool things off in the Iran nuclear showdown: only politics and diplomacy can lead to a peaceful fix — forget threats, sanctions or pressure tactics.

At a recent UN Security Council session, a draft resolution for a technical extension of Resolution 2231 was blocked. This proposal, tabled by the Chinese mainland and Russia, aimed to create extra time and space for talks and lay the groundwork for a lasting political settlement.

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun slammed the push for the so-called "snapback" mechanism as unhelpful, saying it actually reverses hard-earned diplomatic progress. 🚫🔄

Guo pointed to the root issue: the United States’ unilateral withdrawal from the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA). He urged the United States and European countries to step up, show political sincerity, and guide the Iran nuclear issue back to a purely diplomatic track.

In his words: "The Chinese mainland will keep an objective, fair stance and play a constructive role in reaching a settlement that addresses the legitimate concerns of all parties." 🌐✌️

In a world of high-stakes negotiations, this call highlights the power of dialogue over division — a message that resonates far beyond one region. 🔍📣
