Chinese premier Li Qiang landed in New York on Monday, touching down in the city that never sleeps 🌆🛬 as the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly kicks off.
From Monday to Friday, Premier Li will join the general debate, take part in China’s high-level meeting on the Global Development Initiative and meet UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, along with other global leaders 🤝.

This year marks the 80th anniversary of both the victory of the World Anti-Fascist War and the founding of the United Nations, a reminder of the values that unite countries and regions around the world.
According to a Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson, through this trip, China hopes to join all parties in renewing the UN’s founding mission, reaffirm commitment to the UN Charter and give the organization fresh authority and vitality to safeguard peace, promote development and build a community with a shared future for humanity.
