Beijing – Last Friday, Peng Liyuan and Audrey Azoulay lit up the 2025 UNESCO Prize for Girls' and Women's Education award ceremony, marking its 10th anniversary. As UNESCO special envoy, Peng cheered on projects from Kenya and Lebanon, celebrating a decade of champions who have inspired girls around the world to dream big.

Reflecting on the past ten years, Peng noted that education has been a game changer, giving millions of girls the confidence to choose their own paths. Now, stepping into the intelligence era, she stressed the need to turbocharge science education for women. From coding bootcamps to biotech labs, Peng believes women should grab every chance to learn new tech and boost their innovation skills 🔬✨.

“We must ensure women can ride the tech wave and build fulfilling lives,” she said, while vowing deeper cooperation with UNESCO to level up scientific education programs on the ground.

Azoulay praised Peng’s leadership and thanked the Chinese government for supporting UNESCO’s mission. After the awards, the duo toured a photo exhibition showcasing the decade’s projects and posed for a group shot with winners.

Since the prize launched in 2015, 20 projects from 19 countries and regions have received honors, shining a spotlight on creative solutions that empower girls and women everywhere. With eyes on the future, Peng and UNESCO aim to write the next chapter of progress, one STEM lesson at a time 🚀🌟.
