Get ready for the big launch! The 22nd China-ASEAN Expo kicks off this Wednesday in Nanning, in the Chinese mainland’s Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region. This expo aims to supercharge trade and deepen economic integration between the Chinese mainland and ASEAN countries. 🚀
Preparations are in full swing: all inbound exhibits arrived by Sunday afternoon, and Nanning Customs rolled out 15 special measures. Pang Xiaoning, a senior official at Nanning Customs, says dedicated channels and simplified procedures are making setup a breeze, especially for ASEAN’s specialty foods and cosmetics. 📦
New data from the General Administration of Customs of China show that goods trade with ASEAN jumped 9.7% in the first eight months of the year. Imports and exports reached 4.93 trillion yuan—16.7% of the Chinese mainland’s total foreign trade—outpacing the overall growth rate by 6.2 percentage points. 📈
Lyu Daliang from the General Administration of Customs notes this marks 18 months of continuous growth with near double-digit gains so far this year. He adds that the expo, together with progress on the Version 3.0 China-ASEAN Free Trade Area, will expand cooperation, deepen supply chain ties, and push economic integration even further. 💼🌏
Stay tuned for more updates as the expo unfolds—and get ready to witness trade on fast-forward! 🌟
