Six killed in Jerusalem bus shooting at Ramot Junction

🚨 Shock in Jerusalem! On Monday morning at Ramot Junction, two gunmen opened fire at a bus stop and then on a crowded bus, leaving six people dead and dozens injured.

According to local authorities, a woman and five men were among the victims. Six others were seriously wounded and around 32 more suffered light to moderate injuries at nearby hospitals.

Eyewitnesses described chaos: shattered windows, bullet holes, and passengers fleeing in panic during the morning rush hour. First responders reported scenes strewn with broken glass and panic in the air.

Israeli security officials identified the attackers as residents from Qatanna and Al-Qubeiba in the West Bank, armed with a handgun and an improvised submachine gun. Security forces and a brave civilian returned fire, neutralizing the threat.

No group has claimed responsibility so far. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu held a situation assessment with senior security officials, vowing to strengthen protection measures around the city.

The European Union condemned the attack, with spokesman Anouar El Anouni emphasizing, "We condemn this attack, just as we condemn all loss of lives. We call for de-escalation and a ceasefire in Gaza."

This incident unfolds amid nearly two years of military operations in Gaza and rising tensions in the West Bank, with violence surging on both sides. 😔

Stay tuned for updates as the situation develops.
