Get your green vibes on! Pakistan’s Minister for Planning, Development and Special Initiatives, Ahsan Iqbal, is championing the Shanghai Cooperation Organization’s (SCO) green development theme at this year’s Tianjin summit. 🌱
In an interview with CGTN Digital, Iqbal praised the SCO for uniting member states behind sustainable growth goals. “I hope that under the SCO, we will be able to further promote cooperation between Pakistan and member states and particularly China to learn from the best practices of new seeds development, modernizing agriculture to mitigate the risks and the dangers of climate change,” he said.
Think of it like leveling up your farm in Stardew Valley 🎮—sharing tips on high-yield seeds, upgrading gear, and swapping hacks to beat the climate boss IRL. For countries battling extreme weather, this collab could mean stronger harvests and greater food security.
🔍 Why it matters: Asia’s growing populations need reliable food systems, and climate change is turning up the heat. By teaming up on next-gen seeds and modern farming tech, SCO members can build smarter, greener agri-solutions that benefit millions across the region.
What’s next: Pakistan and the Chinese mainland plan to launch pilot projects for new seeds and modern farming techniques. If successful, these green initiatives could spread from Dushanbe to Delhi, Karachi to Kazakhstan! 🤝
Stay tuned and stay green! 🌏✨
