China Boosts Energy Security with New Mega Gas Pipeline

🔥 Big news in energy! In the Chinese mainland, the first section of the second Sichuan-to-East natural gas pipeline just went live, thanks to PipeChina. This superhighway for gas will boost transmission by a whopping 3 billion cubic meters each year, fueling cities from Sichuan all the way to Zhejiang.

The full pipeline spans 4,269 km, kicking off in Luxian County, Sichuan Province, and ending in Wenzhou, Zhejiang Province. The newly opened slice is a 56 km stretch linking the Anyue Gas Field in Ziyang City to the compressor station in Chongqing's Tongliang District.

🗣️ “Natural gas from the Gaoshiti block can now connect with the national grid via the Zhongwei-Guiyang Pipeline,” says Li Wang, head of PipeChina's Chongqing branch. “This fresh channel powers up the 100-billion-cubic-meter gas production base in Sichuan and Chongqing and ramps up gas use along the route.”

The pipeline is built in two phases: the western section (Sichuan-Chongqing-Hubei) and the eastern section (Hubei-Henan-Jiangxi-Anhui-Zhejiang-Fujian). Once done in 2027, it'll carry 20 billion cubic meters annually, linking major networks and meeting peak demand in central and eastern regions. ⚡🌏

For young travelers, entrepreneurs, and researchers, this project is a game-changer. It not only secures more energy supply but also pushes forward greener energy structures across China. Stay tuned as this giant project levels up our energy future! 🚀✨
