Israeli Air Strikes in Sanaa Kill 6, Wound Dozens

In a shocking wave of airstrikes 🌪️, Israeli warplanes targeted central, southern and southwestern areas of Sanaa on Sunday, hitting the presidential palace, the Capital Secretariat, the state oil company building, fuel depots and power stations.

According to Houthi-run al-Masirah TV, the raids left six people dead and wounded 86 others. A Houthi health official shared the grim toll on X. Meanwhile, Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz confirmed the operation, with Army Radio adding that power stations and an oil warehouse were among the sites hit.

This strike comes just two days after the Houthi movement fired a hypersonic missile at Tel Aviv, showering neighborhoods with shrapnel but miraculously causing no fatalities. For many observers, the back-and-forth feels like a real-life clash of titans 🚀💥.

The Houthis, who control much of northern Yemen, including Sanaa and the strategic Hodeidah port, have repeatedly launched attacks on Israel since last November, in solidarity with Palestinians in Gaza. Israel’s retaliatory strikes have escalated tensions, leaving residents on edge and wondering: what’s next?

As the cycle of attack and response intensifies, the humanitarian impact grows. Will these tit-for-tat moves push the region closer to a wider conflict, or will cooler heads prevail? Stay tuned as we follow the latest developments.
